...and while I was blown away by it, it's definitely isn't GoW3.
I will still pick this up, but people need to stop being stupid and saying it will surpass GoW.
I remember this being a very forgettable and awful game at best.
Top-down shooters were way outdated even for that time, and I'm sure I'll get disagrees for this but oh well.
I remember a friend recommending this game highly to me so I went and bought it (like the idiot 13-year-old I was at the time), and friggin' hated it.
.....it starts with bandwith caps, which are being enforced nationwide on various ISPs.
Give it a few years and the internet as we know it today will probably be a distant, and much missed memory.
Nothing personal, but your games have sucked for about their last 7 iterations or so.
Gotta admit, you really blew us away back in the 90s with the new skateboarding genre, considering people in my generation haven't seen a good skating game since "Skate or Die" at the time.
TH 2 & 3 were knockouts also, along with the first THUG game, but after that you became kind of an afterthought, especially after the ultra-gimmicky THUG2, with that god-awful non-c...
$39.99
...Unfortunately the development of most of these new IPs started just before the recession collectively kicked everyone square in the balls.
And by the time it hit game sales, most of the games coming out now were too far in development to just shut down. I'm willing to bet that if Brutal legend and Mirror's Edge started development one year late, they would've never seen the light of day.
And this doesn't only hurt us, it also hurts visionaries in the game industr...
...and at the same time I'm not. I'm amazed at how many people on this board seem to think cable news is the lesser of the evils here.
You know what happened when I woke up this morning? I still had all my freedoms, there wasn't a secret police at my door forcing me to pray or be shot, and I wasn't forced to comply with someone else's beliefs.
Last I remember, America was still the same place. Try as they might, the "news" channels want to make you think...
It's been pretty established that CoD is about 90% multiplayer-focused.
I'm willing to bet that over half the copies of it sold won't ever have the single-player option selected during their ownership, especially the 360 version
Case in point, when i bought my 360 from someone a few months ago, they had halo 3 included with it, and I tried out the single player there to test the 360 and everything. The kid I was buying it from looked at it and said "Huh, never ...
I find it a little hard to believe that they're financially struggling.
I mean, I know they've absorbed some losses, I know Brutal Legend didn't sell as well as they hoped, despite a great marketing campaign (pairing Riggs with Dethklok for that short was genius), and Dead Space Extraction was DOA on the Wii (Looks great, but Wii owners don't usually open their wallets for anything that's not Mario or Zelda).
This kinda sucks to hear too, considering EA was finally p...
...on the PS3. I think their reputation as being rampant PS3-bashers has caught up to them.
I don't personally play their games, as I'm not a hardcore multi-player gamer. I love single player because I grew up playing video games on my own fro the 8-bit era on, and I think a LOT of people online just suck as people anyway.
....especially since as of last night I am locked into a 2-year agreement with Comcast for 16Mbps service (which by the way, is very beneficial to my new Netflix disc for my PS3)
I've been a customer for cable out here for over 5 years, every single bill paid on time in full, and up until 2 years ago, It was Insight Communications, which had great service, fair pricing, and never charged for a service call.
But then Comcast saw all the money they were making out here...
...among the elite games of the year. I personally find it to be a beautifully built game, which harkens back to the days of "You're on your own, buddy" type of games.
I played it for about 25 or so hours when I decided that it's too frustrating to be worth it for me. I may pick it up again sometime soon, but working full-time leaves little time to be invested into this game.
This is the kind of game you play when you're home for a couple weeks with litera...
"GOD OF WAR 3 DEMO ZOMFGLOL!!!!!!!!!! oh yeah and District 9 comes with it"
j/k District 9 was awesome and awesome things should be packed together.
Thank you thank you!!!! All right, Sega, time to follow suit and bring us Yakuza 3 (yes, i know it's coming, but don't know when)
...and I've noticed a lot of artsy-types and purists tend to hate the guy because he got so rich and famous using a simplistic, direct style to reach his audiences.
As of now, he is the highest paid TV producer in the history of television, and has 3 shows (soon to be 4) in prime time lineups simultaneously, he also only 36, and if that's not an accomplishment I don't know what is.
I mean, I love South Park and I loved the Cartoon Wars episodes making fun of it, beca...
.....or would you really rather wait another year for an in-browser Netflix app? Remember they had to find a way to work around the exclusivity agreement with MS, and that probably prohibits an in-browser app until late next year.
Quite frankly, I can live with a disc-based app, because:
A) The disc is free
B) you can't play games and watch a movie on it at the same time, so it's not like it's some major inconvenience.
....and she is by far the best looking one of the bunch. She fits the character well and she's got a real woman's physique. Curves in all the right places and more.
I'd take her over some size 2 whiny hipster any day.
....but at the same time writing about your friend's cancer (to which I am sorry to hear about the prognosis, I can't imagine that feeling), doesn't really have a place or bearing on why you didn't like Uncharted 2.
There's a time and place for everything. So don't take this the wrong way, but put down the controller and spend as much time with your friend as possible before she goes. Trust me, if my dad or brother could come back for 15 minutes if it meant never playing again,...
....he should use the one from katamari Forever, where he has a George Clooney-playing-as-batman-esqu e codpiece.
These horrible, corporate-sponsored, fake awards shows.
I know it's not gonna go away anytime soon, but I can only hope that they don't commercialize it so much in future years and use it as a springboard for more musicians to release "their" versions of Rock Band or Guitar Hero.
And to see Green Day of all bands doing this, it's a joke. Green Day, the oh-so-political, wish-they-were-considered-punk -at-one-time band. So much for all of that disestablishm...
